Fully Enjoy Autumn at Mt. Chausu Plateau

Spend a day among the beautiful autumn leaves of the Okumikawa mountains, baking sweet potatoes, hunting for treasures or eating the delicious local food! One of the earliest Koyo autumn leaves festivals of Aichi, the Mt. Chausu Plateau Autumn Festival (秋の茶臼山高原まつり Aki-no-Chausuyama Kogen Matsuri) starts in mid-September and goes until early-November. However, October is especially attractive due to the nightly illumination that lights up those gorgeous trees! Choose a weekend in order to enjoy to the fullest all the activities available. Also, be prepared for sunsets colder than the average temperature in other parts of Aichi.
