Firworks have been cancelled for the 2022 Kariya Wansaka Festival.

Held annually at the Kariya City General Athletic Park, Kariya Wansaka Festival & Fireworks is one of Kariya’s major festivals, preceded by the city’s traditional “Bon-Odori” summer dance event, and featuring several attractions for adults and kids alike. It concludes at night with a gorgeous fireworks display that attracts crowds from all over that region.

Daytime

Kariya Wansaka Festival & Fireworks

During the day, there are attractions that the kids will love: character shows, local and traditional arts, hands-on experience corners and more. The "yatai" booths and stalls, selling everything from local food to toys, festival games and even miniature train rides provide for a whole day of fun.

Nightime

Kariya Wansaka Festival & Fireworks

Right after dusk, the fireworks show illuminates the sky with a major display of lights and colors. An amazing succession of star mine rounds intertwined with small fireworks, all combined with background music and quite close to the spectators area makes for a thrilling and unforgettable show.

Parking	: No parking is officially provided by the organizing committee. Also, the parking lot of the Athletic Park will be closed for visitors, so no parking is available in the park's vicinity.

Access by public transport

•20 min. walk from either Fujimatsu Station (southwestwards) or Hitotsugi Station (nothwestwards) of the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line.
•Free shuttle bus connecting to the venue from Kariya Station of both JR and Meitetsu Mikawa Lines (only Saturday).
•Free shuttle buses also available from Chiryu Station of the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line.
Access by car

No parking available in the venue or nearby.
•Parking lot at Toyota Auto Body Fujimatsu Plant (トヨタ車体): From Toyoake I.C. of the Isewangan Expressway, head southeast by Route 1 for 3.5km, then turn left at the intersection with Route 54. Head north for 1km.
•Check other parking lots far from the venue and served by free shuttle buses at the official web site (Japanese).
