A tough and rigorous run through the mountains of Okumikawa

The Okumikawa Power Trail is an authentic intermediate trail-running competition where participants and spectators can experience the majestic nature of Okumikawa, the easternmost region of Aichi Prefecture. Runners start at Aichi's tallest mountain Mt. Chausu, run approximately 70 kilometers through mountainous terrain, from Horaiji Temple until the finish line in the Kadoya area, running a cumulative elevation gain of 4,000 meters.

Time limit: 14 hr. and 30 min.

Course: Front of Mt. Chausu Rest House–Mt. Chausu–Tsugu Highland Pasture–Tsugu Kogen Green Park–Mennoki Pass–Mennoki Pasture–Mt. Goban'ishi summit–Sasagure Pass–Takouzu River Road–Shitara Ohashi Bridge–Komatsu Village–Mt. Iwakoya summit–Mt. Kurakake summit–Yotsuya Terraced Rice Paddies–Hotokezaka Pass–Mt. Ure–Mt.     Notes:
    • Parking at the designated parking lot (Fureai Park Horai) and taking the shuttle bus (fee and prior application required) to the starting line is recommended.
    • Arriving in your own car or being dropped off by family or friends is also possible. However, since the roads in the area will be used as part of the course, please give yourself plenty of time as there will be traffic restrictions around the beginning of the competition.
