Handa-City Mansan White Lady Banks' Rose Festival

Date : 04/19/2024 - 04/30/2024

  • Mansan White Lady Banks' Rose Festival

A springtime accent to beautiful Handa City

The garden of the Oguri Residence, a national tangible cultural property of Handa City, is home to a huge white Lady Banks' rose tree estimated to be about 150 years old.
The Mansan White Lady Banks' Rose Festival celebrates the rose tree's appointment as Handa City's natural monument in 2011. The festival lets eventgoers enjoy the tree's characteristic small flowers blooming every year from mid-April to early May. These blossoms add a seasonal accent to Handa's beautiful scenery of a famous canal and brewery warehouses.
Purchase the area's beloved sake with the colorful name of "Ai Shiteru (I Love You)", made with white Lady Banks' rose flower yeast and enjoy loads of other events adding to the fun and beauty of the springtime Handa Canal area.
