Komaki Castle is a small but historically important castle built by warlord Oda Nobunaga in 1563 during his expansionist efforts. In spring, its famed Cherry Blossoms Festival takes place, filling the premises with crowds of people enjoying the gorgeous sakura blooming everywhere.
In the two days of the festival, especially installed illumination light up the flowers from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM for added beauty, and the museum inside the castle operates for extended hours.
Activities for the kids and guided tours will enhance your experience even further.

*: The Mt. Komaki Cherry Blossoms Festival has been cancelled in 2021.
*: No light-up held at the Cherry Blossoms Horse-Riding Ground (Sakura-no-Baba) and the green space north of Mt. Komaki. In addition, the usual division of areas for barbecue will not be carried out this year. Use of barbecues or similar equipment is not permitted.
*: Light-up times changed to March 22 (Monday) - April 5 (Monday), 2021
