Dress up like a real-life samurai this fall!

Kiyosu Nobunaga Festival

Kiyosu City is offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance to dress up as a samurai and participate in its annual Kiyosu Nobunaga Festival parade! That's right: be a part of the spectacle as you parade around Kiyosu Castle—an integral part of Japan's warrior past.

The day begins with a meet-up at Nagoya Station with your tour guide/interpreter. Take a short train ride to Kiyosu and get dressed up for the festivities.
The parade begins with the firing of ancient matchlock rifles, after which a massive parade of armor-clad warriors walk the streets as they might have when going off to battle hundreds of years ago. Once the parade finishes, you have the chance to also go inside Kiyosu Castle.
Next, it's lunch time with over an hour to eat where you please and peruse the local area. Ride the train back to Nagoya Station and call it a day!
