Yanagibashi Central Market boasts a history of about 100 years and has a prime location in the center of the city, unusual for marketplaces in Japan. Similarly, Yanagibashi Beer Garden operates on the roof of Marunaka Food Center, a rare location for a beer garden.
A unique feature of this beer garden is its direct access to fresh ingredients from the marketplace. This beer garden has an unusually abundant seafood menu, and even has its own live fish tank.
A range of popular dishes are available, from exceptionally fresh “sashimi” to large asari clams, grilled to perfection. Besides the regular fish and shellfish options, enjoy rare seafood that you normally can’t find in the supermarket.
A variety of fun events take place here every day. There are singing or dancing performances that change daily, as well as games that women and children can also enjoy taking part in.
